Transforms your G-Class into a peak performer that can take any incline in its stride.

Transforms your G-Class into a peak performer that can take any incline in its stride.

And when descending, too, the driver is efficiently supported. Allowing you safe and controlled mastery of any terrain, no matter how impassable. The low-range ratio can be engaged by a switch on the dashboard console, allowing the transmission shift range to adapt to different situations.

This is achieved by a transfer case, positioned in the drivetrain between the automatic transmission and the axles. When the driver switches from "Neutral" to "Low Range", the speed in the individual gears is more or less halved and the drive torque doubled.
