Thanks to swarm intelligence and autonomous driving features, the smart vision EQ fortwo unveils a new era of carsharing: users do need not to look for the next available vehicle – it finds them and picks up its passengers where they want to be picked up. Users request it on their mobile devices.
Linked vehicles are always on the go. Usage rates increase and simultaneously the amount of traffic and required parking spaces in urban spaces drop. If it's not being used, it independently seeks a charging station to recharge energy. Alternatively, the vehicles can inductively connect to the power grid and provide power to relieve the grid as "swarm batteries".
