Mercedes-Benz brings the World Wide Web into your car. The InCar Hotspot has everything you need for unrestricted internet access in the vehicle.[1] That means you can for example connect laptops, netbooks, smartphones or tablet PCs such as the iPad [2]: the special WLAN router in the vehicle’s boot allows passengers to surf the internet during the drive – and with up to four devices at the same time. The only requirement for using the mobile internet is a data-enabled SIM card.
The InCar Hotspot offers an internet connection with a speed of up to 7.2 megabits per second and supports the most common transmission standards (HSDPA/UMTS and GSM/EDGE).
[1] System requirements for the vehicle: Convenience Telephony (Code 386), Audio 50 APS (Code 525 or 511) or COMAND APS (Code 527 or 512).
